BAYONET INVENTORY
TIGERShort – Single Etched (From Robt. Klaas)
This absolutely stunning Robt. Klaas (producer) single-etched bayonet has the dual trademarks of the TIGER Company on both the obverse and reverse ricasso. A Tiger proofed dress bayonet itself is quite rare to find in the collecting community. See pictures.
The etch itself is Robt. Klaas’s Neutral (for all service branches) and was ordered by other Robt. Klaas Company customers to include the Tiger Company. The open winged Eagle holding a Swastika Wreath in its talons is a beautiful piece of etching artistry with the Remembrance Motto split on both sides. See pictures.
The bookends on this etch are the curled cross variety used by Klaas prior to 1938.
The condition of this example would be rated as MINT in the collecting community. See pictures. A very slight “smug” on the reverse crossguard due to rubbing on the Frog can hardly be seen. See pictures. Other than that, no runner marks are present and the Hilt plating would rate as MINT !! “You’re Holding a Piece of History”
