E. Pack & Sohne Long – SINGLE ETCH - LUFTWAFFE
This hard to find obverse etch is featured in E. Pack's 1938 catalog as Nr. 4 Flieger.
The Luftwaffe etch design has a Storch Airplane, in amazing detail closest to the ricasso, the Remembrance Motto centered and a beautiful mosaic floral pattern at the tip end. See Pictures.
It is my opinion that this pattern was not offered/ordered as a double etch to larger Luftwaffe Units as I have never seen a Unit citation of any kind on the reverse of these examples. Perhaps available only in E.Pack & Sohne retail outlets might help explain the extreme rarity of this seldom seen etch.
The condition of this example would be classified as extremely MINT in every way! The etch panel has a bright background frosting, no missing plating on the Hilt or Blade. No runner marks. Absolutely MINT!
For any collector who must have a Minty Scabbard this is it! Absolutely beautiful depiction of a Rare to find pattern and in MINT condition. See Pictures.
